Het sterke zonlicht en de verschroeiende hitte zorgen er trouwens voor dat het kleurengamma bij momenten redelijk beperkt blijft. Dat is wel anders op de Ionische eilanden, heb ik gemerkt. Hier zwem je niet alleen in indigo-blauwe wateren, maar ook in turquoise en smaragdgroen.<\/p>\n<p>Daarenboven telt het eiland 2 miljoen olijfbomen (soms leek het wel of we op Kreta waren), en talloze pijnbomen en struiken.
